Income Requirements
Total household gross income (before taxes, insurance, garnishments, and other deductions) must be under 200% of the Federal Poverty level.
2025 Limits for a household of:
- 1: $31,300/year ($2,608.33/month)
- 2: $42,300/year ($3,525.00/month)
- 3: $53,300/year ($4,441.67/month)
- 4: $64,300/year ($5,358.33/month)
- 5: $75,300/year ($6,275.00/month)
- 6: $86,300/year ($7,191.67/month)
Location Requirements
Heartland’s services are limited to Marion County, Indiana. This means that:
- For regular civil cases: The case must be filed in Marion County, Indiana, and priority is given to those who live in Marion County.
- For bankruptcy cases: The debtor(s) must live (reside) in Marion County.
** Heartland can accept cases where the client does not live in Marion County, but the client must be willing and able to travel to Marion County for attorney consultations, court hearings, and any other proceedings or meetings regarding the Marion County case.
